Description, Intent and Project Objectives

In August 2014, Stephens Kozak ACI was awarded the contract to design and deliver a new 1400 sq.m. facility on a greenfield site for the City of Lacombe in central Alberta. This mandate was won through a combined proposal/design competition procurement process. In addition to the array of offices, ‘bullpen’, interview and secure records and exhibit spaces, the program also includes six cells, breath testing/LiveScan room, a secure ‘sallyport’ and five vehicle bays. A briefing/training room will convert into an Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) as required. A Community use room for twenty-five, soft interview for two-three, collision-reporting counter and victims’ services spaces will all be accessible from the public lobby.
