Great architecture is flexible, as are most of us who work in the construction field. Contract Administration is the part of the industry that interests me the most. My role in CA bridges the Owner’s expectations, the Architect’s intent, and General Contractor’s expertise from the time of tender closing to the project turnover. Quick and accurate responses are critical, and this can be the most stressful time for everyone on the project team. I respect the common goals of all stakeholders to deliver the project according to defined quality standards. I believe that my years of experience, strong work ethic and sense of humour are great assets for this role. Architecture is not easy, but nothing worthwhile in life ever is, and the hard work and long hours are rewarded with functional and beautiful results.
